The Direct Support Professional provides care and training to the (8) gentlemen living in our small group home.
This includes assisting with personal care (hygiene, grooming, toileting, feeding); providing active treatment to help them reach their training goals and become as independent as possible with all daily living skills; coordinating leisure/recreational/social activities; and performing and/or assisting the individuals with housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
We are currently hiring for full time 2nd & 3rd shift positions.
Hours for 2nd shift are 2pm - 10pm and/or 4pm - 12am.
3rd shift is 12am - 8am.
Full time positions are 40 hour/week positions and will require every other weekend.
One week orientation from 9a - 4p is required.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Valid driver's license At least 18 years of age Ability to pass a drug screen and background check Ability to handle the physical aspects of the job, including walking for periods of time, bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and transferring in/out of wheelchair.
