We are currently seeking a Director of Logistics to manage the ideel warehouse in Gaffney, SC. The Director will be responsible for all aspects of the physical operations of customer fulfillment. This person will work with staff, merchants, warehouse, and parcel carriers to optimize warehouse operations and performance of our fulfillment center. They will manage warehousing operations involved with pick/pack supply procurement, as well as use and storage. They will also work closely with parcel carriers to ensure optimum service levels, and fulfillment operations in a fast paced retail e-commerce company. This manager will constantly strive to support world-class customer experiences provided by this organization.
Responsibilities:
Monitor, resolve, and work to eliminate operational issues that impact order fulfillment
Identify and resolve customer experience fulfillment risks, including warehouse issues and integration problems between the admin system(s) and the warehouse
Manage pick and pack operations and day-to-day relations with a fulfillment center
Work with Inventory Manager to manage liquidation sales and monitor storage and aging of inventory
Work with Accounting and Customer Service to provide insight to other departments on the status of inventory, receiving and warehousing operations
Work closely with Customer Service representatives to investigate customer experience issues involving order pick and pack and/or carrier delivery issues
Develop reporting for visibility into warehousing and fulfillment metrics and management
Process improvement to drive down cycle time and increase inventory/order accuracy.
Qualifications:
5
years in a professional business setting; logistics/supply chain, fulfillment/distribution. eCommerce experience preferred
Bachelor's degree required
A thorough knowledge of warehousing operations
Thorough understanding of transportation, supply-chain, and reverse logistics
Organized and detail oriented
Self-starter with the ability to manage and meet deadlines, including prioritization
Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to make decisions and take appropriate actions
Professionally skilled in personal presentation as well as verbal and written communication
Strong focus on customer service
Willing and able to work holidays (public and religious)
